Ag. Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), Mrs Ladi S. Katagun yesterday led the NIPC Management team on a working visit to the Director General of NADDC, Engr. Aminu Jalal in Abuja.
The management team of NADDC were also on hand to receive the august visitors who were in the NADDC headquarters to further cement the long-standing inter-agency cooperation and collaboration between both bodies.
Mrs. Ladi Katagun said their visit was to explore new vistas of better cooperation between their agencies, obtain clarifications on the key elements of the Nigerian auto policy and seek answers to enquiries from various investors interested in participating in the Nigerian automotive industry.
NADDC Director General, Engr. Aminu Jalal gave a detailed briefing on the Nigerian Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) with emphasis on the present status of the auto industry in Nigeria, the huge potentials that still abound, incentives and fiscal measures, development of industrial clusters, skills development, market development, control of smuggling, vehicle credit purchase scheme, government patronage, standards, local content development and inter-agency collaboration.
