The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) joined stakeholders at the official handover of MIDAS Engineering Software to fifteen (15) Nigerian universities, held on November 5th, 2025, at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Headquarters in Abuja.
Representing the Council, the Director-General, Chief (Otunba) Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, in his goodwill message, applauded the NSE under the leadership of Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, and MIDAS IT for the visionary collaboration that would revolutionize engineering education in Nigeria.
He emphasized that the partnership was not just a software donation but an investment in the future, one that bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering innovation.
Highlighting NADDC’s commitment to promoting research and technological development, Chief Osanipin noted that three of the Council’s four Electric Vehicle Charging Stations were strategically located within universities; University of Lagos, University of Nigeria Nsukka and Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto to foster innovation, research, and capacity building among young engineers.
The Council congratulates the NSE, MIDAS IT and the beneficiary universities for this remarkable milestone that aligns with Nigeria’s drive toward technological advancement and sustainable development.
