NADDC, Edo State Strengthen Collaboration to Boost Youth Skills and Gender-Inclusive Training
On 3rd July 2025, a strategic meeting was held between coordinators from the Office of the First Lady of Edo State and the Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Joseph Osanipin. During the session, stakeholders reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting balanced development, empowering youth, and advancing gender-inclusive training programmes across the state.
The discussion focused on expanding access to skill-based training particularly for young girls and fostering equitable opportunities across all sectors. Participants expressed renewed optimism about the revival of impactful development programmes, especially those aimed at strengthening local capacity.

A representative from the First Lady’s office highlighted the importance of establishing sustainable support systems and ensuring access to relevant training opportunities. “Our girls deserve platforms that not only equip them with skills but also open doors for lasting transformation,” she stated. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to the upcoming event, which marks a significant milestone for our community and the future we are shaping.”
This initiative aligns with the state government’s broader agenda for inclusive development and supports NADDC’s mandate to advance automotive innovation, youth training, and technical capacity-building nationwide.
